HISTORY

Meet the Band

Ellsworth

Ellsworth is the piano-playing senior monkey of the group.
He sure knows how to swing!

Putnam

Putnam bangs on the drums like no other- he loves a Jungle Beat!

Albert

Albert is the juvenile monkey of the band. He prefers to strum on a coconut banjo, but he settles for an acoustic.

BOB WIRE

There’s a sheriff in town- and he is rockin’! When he isn’t slinging a gun, Bob takes time to jam with the band.

THE BOYS

Butch, Oakley, and Yancy are the three gophers you can always find at the saloon. Are they even old enough to drink? Those mustaches look suspiciously fake…

MORTIMER D. MOUSE

Mortimer is here for a good time, not a long time; And he thinks time with Patty is time well spent.

PATTY PACHYDERM

As the showgirl of the group, Patty knows a thing or two about the business. Not that anyone believes her.

The History of the Animal Crackers

From the 1960’s to throughout the mid 1990’s, Creative Presentations existed as a company active in the theatre and entertainment industry. They were responsible for the creation of a variety of mascot costumes, theatre props, and animatronic shows; including the Animal Crackers band that we are hoping to restore for public display.Creative Presentations has since gone defunct as a company. In their prime, they worked alongside a number of Fortune 500 companies including McDonalds and Chuck E. Cheese / Showbiz Pizza.

The Animal Crackers Band was developed alongside the Ape-Ologies as a customizeable arrangement of characters intended for installation in Family Entertainment Centers and amusement parks. The band was installed at Castle Fun Park in Abbotsford, BC. from 1989 until its recent removal in April of 2025. It is the last remaining show of its kind. Please enjoy the slideshows above containing imagery we have successfully archived from Creative Presentations, photography taken of the Animal Crackers band while they were at Castle Fun Park, and some pictures of the removal process.
